Set along the quiet south shore of Amisk Lake in northern Saskatchewan, enjoy an authentic wilderness escape where pristine night skies create a memorable astrotourism experience. Located just 30 kilometres south of Denare Beach on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield, this year-round drive-to camp combines accessibility with the feeling of true northern isolation — an ideal setting for reconnecting with nature by day and the cosmos by night with a Bortle Scale of 2. In partnership with Dark Sky Destinations, we offer a Stargazing Booklet with notable celestial events during your stay, and binoculars for viewing.
Amisk Lake’s remote boreal setting offers exceptional dark skies largely untouched by artificial light. As twilight fades, the vast northern horizon reveals brilliant constellations, shimmering reflections across lake snow & ice, and frequent auroral displays dancing overhead during active periods. Evenings naturally unfold around campfires, shoreline strolls, or quiet stargazing from cabin decks, where the Milky Way stretches vividly across the sky.
March brings hardwater fishing adventures alongside snowshoe excursions through snow-covered boreal forest landscapes — a magical season when crisp air and long nights create ideal conditions for aurora viewing.

Booking Information:
Check In time is 4pm & Check Out time is 9AM.
If you need to arrange arrival or departure times outside of these hours, please contact us directly to make arrangements.
Deposits:
A deposit of $200.00 CDN per cabin reservation is due 3 months in advance of arrival date for bookings.
You will receive an email with confirmation of your booking and details on payment of the deposit.
Refunds:
Refunds on the reservation deposit will be considered due to weather conditions.

This spacious cabin has two bedrooms - one with a double/single bunkbed and a single bed & one with 4 single bunkbeds-along with a double sofabed in the living area. It is located across from the lodge, with a deck to sit & relax on. There is a shower/washroom building next to the cabin. (can sleep 10 total)

Cabin 8
This newer cabin has two bedrooms - one with a double/single bunkbed and a single bed & one with 4 single bunkbeds. It is located across from the lodge, with a deck to sit & relax on. There is a shower/washroom building next to the cabin. (can sleep 8 total)

Cabin 10
This cabin has two bedrooms – one with a double/single bunk bed and a single bed & one with 4 single bunk beds. It is located along the marina road, with a lakeview deck to sit & relax on. This cabin has a winter outhouse, but includes access to the heated shower building. (can sleep 8 total)
